This marks the first change to Shutterstock's prices in over two years, a period during which Shutterstock's photo library has quadrupled in size. Terms remain the same: subscribers will still be able to download 25 images every day (that's 750 every month!) to be used royalty-free forever.

Masterfile launches its first Ideas Booklet PDF Print E-mail

Düsseldorf, May 2006: Photo agency Masterfile is launching the first Masterfile Ideas Booklet. The elaborately produced A5 booklet with a golden cover was sent out to Masterfile customers at the end of May and has already been used at various international trade fairs. Entitled "Discover Masterfile", the Ideas Booklet extravagantly showscases the broad range and possibilities of the Masterfile photo collection -- enhanced by the use of different paper types and innovative paper finishing techniques, such as, partial UV lacquers or special embossing. The design of the Ideas Booklet was created by Düsseldorf Masterfile Design Team in conjunction with European design agencies. By using the interplay between photography and effects in the Ideas Booklet, Masterfile wishes to present different creative possibilities and provide inspiration and ideas. Further issues of the Ideas Booklet at regular intervals are planned.

Getty Images Board of Directors Increases Authorization of Share Repurchase Program to $250 Million PDF Print E-mail

Company also Completes Evaluation Regarding Future Use of Certain New York Facilities

SEATTLE - May 23, 2006 - Getty Images, Inc. (NYSE: GYI), the world's leading creator and distributor of visual content, today announced that its board of directors has approved an increase to its share repurchase program of $100 million, bringing the total of the approved plan to $250 million. Shares repurchased under this program may be made at such times and in such amounts as management deems appropriate. At April 28, 2006, the company had approximately 62.4 million shares of common stock outstanding.

As a result of the increase in the share repurchase program, the Company has decided to sell certain short-term investments that are in loss positions that it had previously intended to hold. Selling these investments will result in a non-recurring, pre-tax charge of approximately $4 million in the second quarter of 2006. These previously unrealized losses had been disclosed in the Company's most recent Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q.
