DSLR slated for early 2007 introduction
Valhalla, NY, September 25, 2006 -
Confirming the company's commitment to professional photographers,
Fujifilm today announced the development of the much anticipated
FinePix S5 Pro digital SLR camera. The new FinePix S5 Pro is further
affirmation of Fujifilm's goal to achieve professional D-SLR image
quality consistent with Fujifilm's professional film heritage.
The
FinePix S5 Pro carries a number of features that made its predecessor,
the FinePix S3 Pro, so popular with wedding, portrait and studio
photographers. One is increased dynamic range from the Super CCD SR
double pixel technology (6.17 million S-pixels and 6.17 million
R-pixels). The new FinePix S5 Pro continues this tradition of expanded
dynamic range and goes a step further by coupling the new Super CCD SR
Pro sensor with Fujifilm’s new RP (Real Photo) Processor Pro for even
more outstanding, film-like results. Moreover, the FinePix S5 Pro will
house the two technologies in a fully digital and durable metal alloy
body frame. This opens the door for Fujifilm's digital imaging
technologies to expand into other applications such as outdoor and high
endurance commercial photography. |

imaging professionals.
PRESS RELEASE--(PRWEB) March 21, 2006 -- Finding camera reviews and photography
information on the Web is now easier for those who prefer the Nikon
brand.
A new search engine dubbed "NikoScope" has been quietly weathering
beta-tests with the help of the 40,000-member Nikonians online
community, which has been gathering news, articles, reviews, and lively
forum discussions for the past six years.
As Nikonians.org grew in membership the free information available at
the site expanded to a large resource library covering a wide range of
photography topics surrounding the Nikon brand.
"Keeping up with that much information required an internal upgrade to
the site's search engine" says Nikonians co-founder Bo Stahlbrandt.

January 19, 2006 Konica Minolta has long been a leading company in photo imaging business covering wide range of imaging from input to output. In addition, we have provided inspiring products and services by fusing our unique technologies. In camera business, we have expanded picture-taking opportunities by developing innovative technologies such as the world’s first autofocus cameras.
In 1962, our camera, well-accepted for its high reliability, boarded on the US’s first manned spaceship “Friendship 7.” Also, ever since introduction of the world’s first body-integral autofocus SLR camera, Maxxum/Dynax series, in 1985, SLR cameras have become more popular among picture-takers, and we have succeeded in selling 16 million units of interchangeable lenses since then. However, in today’s era of digital cameras, where image sensor technologies such as CCD is indispensable, it became difficult to timely provide competitive products even with our top optical, mechanical and electronics technologies. In photo business, represented by the silver-halide photography such as color film and color paper, we have produced Japan’s first photographic paper in 1903, and Japan’s first color film in 1940, thus pioneering joy of photography for more than a century. |
