October 23, 2006-- The Picture Archive Council of America (PACA) 2006 International Conference was held in Key West, Florida, October 20-22, 2006. Roger Ressmeyer, president of PACA gave a speech entitled The Storm Before the Calm. In a wide ranging speech, Roger presented a great deal of information on the state of the industry as well as a number of interesting ideas. Of special note, Roger mentions three crucial areas of concern – the control of copyrights, the pricing of imagery and agency/distributors' relationships with suppliers.
