Photographers Get Lifetime 50% Royalties on Images Accepted Before 12/31/06

Micropayment stock photography site LuckyOliver (www.luckyoliver.com) announced today a time-limited increase in image royalties. From December 21, 2006 through Midnight PST on December 31, 2006, any accepted images will earn a 50% royalty for the life of the images. Photographers or illustrators interested in learning more about LuckyOliver or submitting images should visit www.luckyoliver.com.

Increased Royalties for New and Veteran Photographers

"Ahh, the week between Christmas and New Year's eve is somewhat of a no-man's-land when it comes to work versus relaxation," said Bryan Zmijewski, founder and chief instigator at LuckyOliver. "We wanted to offer an incentive for folks to decide to finally upload the rest of their image portfolio, or to look back through the photos they've taken throughout the year and see if they have additional photos they'd like to submit. Offering a 50% royalty on these photos may be just the catalyst some people need to move off the fence and fully into the LuckyOliver family."

Royalties Remain for the Life of the Image

Photos that are submitted and accepted between 12/21/06 and 12/31/06 will earn 50% royalties, more than double the royalties typically given on images. As long as the image remains available on LuckyOliver, the photographer or illustrator will earn a 50% royalty on it, whether someone purchases it on January 2, 2007 or January 2, 2017. If the creator chooses to remove the image from the LuckyOliver system, the royalty is also removed; it cannot be reinstated, even if the same photo is uploaded again in the future. Eligible images must be uploaded and accepted before Midnight Pacific Standard Time on December 31, 2007.

Photographers are Excited about Royalty Possibilities

Reaction to the increase in royalties has met with enthusiasm among LuckyOliver Carnies (the people who submit photos and images to LuckyOliver.) Carny Mark Woodhead sums up the overall reaction when he says, "That's great. I've got all next week off, so I better get busy!"
