Several weeks ago, Paul Melcher started a blog, Thoughts from a Bohemian
which contains a number of interesting posts and ideas. Paul has more
than ten years experience with renowned photo agencies that have
included Hachette Filipacchi Photo Group, ImageDirect, Inc. and Corbis.
Paul was most recently Vice President, Sales at Digital Railroad, Inc.
and now has his own consulting firm Melcher System which is also doing extensive research on building the first fully
automated photo workflow management system.
Paul's most recent post, A New Tool, introduces the Stock Photo News search engine [Beta]
that limits searches to selected sites that report and comment on the
stock photography industry. By searching a small number of selected
sites the tool focuses on the information contained in only those sites
and eliminates much of the "noise" generated by most typical web
searches.
