Dreamtime--The Direct Hit of All Blogs

(BRENTWOOD, Tennessee)Dreamstime.com, a global community micro stock agency and distinguished leader in the industry, is pleased to introduce its newest interactive sector. Recognized as one of the most hands-on, intermutual agencies, Dreamstime.com continues its commitment to its community to offer an innovative, informative, insightful and convivial BLOG.

The Dreamstime blog has been designed as a social outlet with the objective to invite and welcome daily contributions to increase interactivity between community members of all interests. The blog page will appeal to a wide audience of readers from current contributors and customers, to first-time visitors.

“Everyone has something to offer or something to say and we can all learn something new and get fresh ideas from even the novice.  We are encouraging members to take the liberty to become more personally involved as bloggers. The blogs can be photography or design related, or a story the writer might think to be of interest to the Dreamstime.com community--reflective of personal accounts, experiences and theories,” Serban Enache, co-founder & CEO of Dreamstime.com introduced.

Dreamstime bloggers must be a registered member of the community.  The advantage of becoming a Dreamstime blogger is the vast photos/images available for visual use within the blog while offering the photographers the opportunity to see their work in action.  The Dreamstime blogger may include an image within their article free of charge.

A feature unique to any other blog, Dreamstime bloggers can write and submit their piece while in the moment and on the fly from where ever they are!  Bloggers can send stories via e-mail, their cell phones or SMS. The Dreamstime system will automatically translate the blogs received remotely and post on the site.

The Dreamstime.com blog will also serve as a referral program.  Those bloggers who join the referral program and incorporate a Dreamstime image within their article will be issued a referral code.  If their individual blog is forwarded (via e-mail) to an outside party who is a nonmember and the nonmember in turn joins the site or becomes a contributing photographer, the blogger will receive a referral fee from all purchases and uploads generated from their blog.  “The referral program will reinforce the already well-founded community membership and photographer recognition and commissions overall,” Enache said.

“The blog will offer our community a stronger voice on an individual basis to share their thoughts in words and be even more creative by selecting a photo that compliments the piece,” Enache added.  “We want to bring all users together and improve their interaction. Even members that have no connection with photography can be helpful (for example, web editors, art directors, production, ad lay-out, etc.).  The blog has become a powerful tool and we think that it is extremely useful to bring its power to the community.”

The launch of this new component follows in the footsteps of Dreamstime’s most successful quarter. Dreamstime.com celebrated a record-breaking month in overall submissions.  With over 200,000 accepted (quality approved) images received in June, Dreamstime exceeded the 1.5 Million image mark. In consideration of the growth pattern and percentages, the forecast indicates Dreamstime will have a library of more than 2 Million by late fall.

Dreamstime.com is a community-based stock photography agency and a global leader in the industry in the company of Corbis, Getty Images (GYI) and Jupiter Images (JUPM).
