Trojanowski to “Shoot with Ron Chapple”

(BRENTWOOD, Tennessee) —Dreamstime.com, a global community-based stock photo agency and distinguished leader in the industry, has announced the winner of its “Workshop” Program—“Shoot With Ron Chapple.” The winner of the first Dreamstime “Workshop” contest is Tomasz Trojanowski of Sosnowiec, Poland.

Trojanowski joined the “Dream Team” as a contributing photographer in July 2004; he has been an active member and contributor with uploads of 80 images per month on average and an impressive portfolio of 3,700 images currently online on Dreamstime.com.

Overall, the Dreamstime “Workshop” Program is designed as both a contest and learning opportunity dedicated to those photographers who have demonstrated longevity and success as active and interactive Dreamstime contributors and who have already achieved semi-professional or professional status.

The focus of the current workshop (“Shoot With Ron Chapple”) will be to learn the tricks of the trade from a veteran photographer. Chapple (who has been shooting stock images for more than 20 years) will share his expertise in the field with Trojanowski offering his knowledge in traditional stock photography as well his guidance into “creativity” that sells.  The workshop will also cover lighting secrets, shooting techniques in various challenging situations (still life and night shooting) and how to work effectively with models.

“Congratulations to Tomasz! I look forward to working with him on location,” said Chapple.  “His already excellent work will add another dimension as we shoot together for a few days in Maui,” he added. “Shooting stock is so much more than just great pictures. Stock is a business and a lifestyle."

Tomasz competed against hundreds of eligible Dreamstime photographers [Dreamstime has 25,000 contributors currently] in the three-month contest to earn the right to join Ron Chapple in the extensive and intensive three-day workshop and stock shoot sessions. To narrow down the eligible contestants, photographers were selected based upon the photographer’s history of successful “Assignment” participation and submissions, correlated with total sales within their portfolio. Trojanowski was selected based on his last three “Assignment” submissions.  The workshop is scheduled to take place in Maui, Hawaii (Chapple’s headquarters).  Dreamstime.com will pick up the tab for transportation, accommodations and meals for Mr. Trojanowski’s trip.

"To be a strong contender in the 'Workshop' contest, I planned ten different photo sessions to compete in 'The Assignment.’  It was a lot of hard, detailed work, but well worth it," Tomasz Trojanowki said.  “This will be an experience of a lifetime--personally and professionally.  I'm thrilled and proud to be the recipient of this prize, but must emphasize that the most important part of winning this is to have the opportunity to work with Ron Chapple.  This workshop will be a learning lesson that will enable me to become a better photographer and I wish to thank Dreamstime.com for making it possible."

Now, with over 2,000,000 images available, the Dreamstime gallery of photos and images is acknowledged as the best-edited collection in its market.
