20 March 2008 Milwaukee WI & Rockport, Maine/USA – Stock Answers™ founder and CEO Paul H. Henning and the Maine Photographic Workshops have reached an agreement which will see him teaching an in-depth class on stock photography June 15 – 21, 2008.

“Stock Photography: Essentials for Making Money With Your Camera” will survey the process of creating, marketing and selling stock imagery. The course will be an intensive submersion into both the business and creative sides of stock photography, covering the history and evolution of today's $2 billion global stock picture industry.

“I’ve been aware of the Maine Photographic Workshops’ reputation as an outstanding venue for learning for many, many years,” says Henning, “so I’m really thrilled to now be associated with them. My workshop will be very instructive, but it’ll also be informal, fun and even a bit entertaining. And, of course, to do all that in the physically awesome natural surroundings of Rockport, Maine will make it an extra-special week!”

The week-long session will help photographers develop strategies for successfully converting their personal shooting skills and interests into profitable stock picture sales. The class will look at changing stock image styles, delve into how and where to find picture buyers and examine the multitude of options for marketing stock photos. Participants will develop goals and plans for picture production, as well as complete several stock shooting "assignments." So, class time will be divided three ways: “skull time” in the classroom, shooting stock picture “assignments” and then critiquing the results of those assignments.

Participants will finish off a memorable, informative week with a thorough understanding of what makes a successful stock shooter. Paul H. Henning is a former location photographer and stock agency owner/director. He also served as Manager of European Operations for the Comstock stock picture agency, and founded Stock Answers™, a consultancy for stock photographers and picture libraries, in 1999 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA).
