Image and metadata uploading feature
increases speed to market, getting images into DRR archives and out to
buyers faster than ever
SEATTLE, August 6, 2008 - Digital Railroad (www.drr.net),
the leading provider of online archiving and marketing services for the
professional photography industry, today announced the release of its
plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 2. The plug-in enables DRR
member photographers to quickly export images and metadata directly
from Lightroom to their DRR-powered archive.
The plug-in seamlessly integrates with Lightroom's custom-imaging
tools, allowing users to define the file names, file format, color,
compression, bit depth, and sharpening of their exported files.
Users can export to new or existing image groups within their
DRR archive. While connected via the Internet, the plug-in synchronizes
with a user's list of FTP-enabled groups, making it easy to select an
existing group as the export destination. The synchronization mechanism
can also be customized to meet a user's needs. As images are exported,
the user can continue working within Lightroom.
The plug-in is available for free at www.digitalrailroad.net/corpsite/special_offers/lightroom_exporter. DRR also continues to offer a plug-in for users of Lightroom 1.x.
