Google base David Sanger: There's a nice writeup of our use of the new Google Base product on the Google Base Blog today at Spotlight on David Sanger Photography.

When it first appeared it seemed right away that a database product was a promising venue for presenting images which we have for sale as fine art prints and for licensing. Google Base continues to evolve and stock photographers will be keeping an eye on how to best use it to get their work to market.

"For a small stock photography business the most difficult task is to get visibility for individual offerings. We already use Google Sitemaps and Google Images to gain visibility but there's currently no option for adding descriptive, searchable metadata. Google Base offers the flexibility and quick turnaround we need to post new material and to change product details. The custom attributes will allow us to fine tune the offering over time."
